GOSHA RUBCHINSKIY has opened a new space at Galeria shopping centre — the Saint Petersburg twin of its Moscow space at Aviapark. This is the brand’s second standalone space and its first in Saint Petersburg.
The interior builds on the architectural concept first introduced at the brand’s space in Tsvetnoy, continuing an exploration of the swimming pool aesthetic — its geometry, light and sense of airiness. Ceramic tiles, stainless steel and blue tones come together in a familiar palette. The blue floor evokes a still surface of water, from which metal clothing rails seem to emerge, echoing pool ladders and handrails. Panoramic mirrors multiply reflections of the interior, blurring its boundaries.
At the centre is an installation of three diving platforms set against a black-and-white photograph of a cloudy sky. Two platforms serve as checkout and wrapping areas, while the third forms the space’s main vertical element.
